The Exponential Search app will calculate the missing value in the Exponential Detection function. The function is also referred to as the Random Search function.
There is an assumption that the target is stationary, no effort of the search will be used outside the boundaries of the search area and finally, the target need to be inside the search area.
The Probability of Detection gives a useful number depicting the lower bound of detection (Probability) when resources are allocated to a search.
